What is the difference between MPM and GDSN targets?

What do they see?

Their internal system is directly linked to My Product Manager. 
They see individual sheets 

  • With the status ‘Valid’;
  • What their filter allows them to see (e.g. DIY vs. FMCG);
  • What you gave them access to via ‘MPM targets’

Their internal system is directly linked to GDSN. 
They see individual sheets 

  • With the status ‘Valid’
  • GDSN feedback ‘SYNCHRONIZED’ or ‘REVIEW’
  • That you published to them via ‘GDSN targets’
What to publish? Every level of the hierarchy Only the highest level can be published
How to publish? Automatically follows the default publication settings, but can subsequently also be amended on a case-by-case basis Manual publication after items are created

Please note! It is also possible – for example, for Colruyt and Delhaize – that they will want to receive your data via both channels.

If you are not sure how your customer wants to receive your data, then check the messages that they have sent you, or contact them or GS1 to verify this.
