TraceWay for establishing GS1 standards
The importance of traceability and visibility in supply chains is growing due to upcoming regulations. GS1 standards offer a global common language for track-and-trace implementations, ensuring interoperability and scalability of solutions. With standards, trading partners can collaborate and share harmonized information across the entire value chain.
To assist companies, GS1 created the "GS1 TraceWay" tool. This tool guides users through the three phases of a traceability implementation project: diagnosis, design, and deployment. Within the tool, you can explore essential steps, their respective outputs, and detailed information such as applicable GS1 standards, actions to be performed, benefits, tips or resources to achieve each output.
"GS1 TraceWay" can help at all stages of a traceability project in any company or sector to improve or design the traceability system in their operations. You can read here some useful use cases.
GS1 Belgium & Luxembourg understands the value of traceability within the supply chain, and has therefore trained two staff members to become certified Traceability Analysts. They are able to support our members on their path towards an improved and well-rounded traceability system.
