The current basic rule (*) states that the coupon data recorded in My Coupon Manager must match the data on the issuer's paper coupons.
Some fields can be modified while the coupon is active. However, since many changes can only be made by the platform administrators, we recommend contacting your platform's support for assistance.
(*) Transitioning to a digital or mobile coupon system may lead to a revision of some current rules.
Can I reactivate or extend my coupon?
No. An inactive coupon cannot be reactivated, and even an active coupon cannot be extended. In both cases, a new coupon must be created.
The rule is simple:
- Reprinting a coupon with the exact same conditions (same validity date, same GCN) is allowed but must be done during the action period.
- Reprinting a coupon with different conditions is not allowed and requires creating a new coupon with a new Global Coupon Number.
Several internal studies on coupon data quality revealed that many coupons were linked not only to valid products but also to:
- Obsolete products
- Products not included in the promotion
- Logistic units
- Unknown products
Each incorrect or unnecessary product addition creates GCN/GTIN combinations that may need validation at checkout.
Additionally, the accumulation of these unnecessary combinations can cause performance issues when integrating My Coupon Manager with retailer systems.
These rules are designed to ensure and improve the quality of coupon and product data. Exceptions will only be granted under exceptional circumstances and based on specific business cases.
Each exception request will be evaluated individually, apply to a specific coupon, and must be approved by the platform administrator.
